Update Venice Calls

We are continuing our work to engage the community and protect the city through environmental actions, educational activities, and new collaborations.

Here’s a short overview of what Venice Calls has been focusing on in the past months:

• Clean-up campaigns across different areas of the lagoon and the historic center, involving local volunteers, international students and visitors.

• Recycling Lab expansion, transforming collected plastic waste into new useful objects and raising awareness about circular economy.

• Open Days and workshops, offering hands-on experiences to schools, universities and visiting groups.

• Partnerships with local and international organizations, to strengthen our impact and build bridges between communities.

• Awareness campaigns on climate change, overtourism and lagoon preservation, both online and offline.

Looking ahead, we’re preparing new collaborations for 2026, volunteer programs and educational events to keep growing this community network for a more resilient Venice.We’ve also just started the restyling of our Instagram page — you can follow our updates here: @venicecalls — and we’re about to launch a crowdfunding campaign to support our 2026 activities.
